The Kandy to Ella train journey is said to be one of the most scenic, epic train journeys not only just in Sri Lanka but the world. First you should decide if you wanna stay the whole journey from Kandy to Ella or if you would get the train from Nuwara-Eliya. The ride starting in Nuwara-eliya will only take about 3,5 hours to get to Ella. The reverse starting from ELLA is also possible and is as magnificent as Kandy to Ella.
